AFB's COVID-19 Research

Access and Engagement to Education

The first Access and Engagement report is the culmination of a collaborative survey that investigated the early impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education of children and youth with visual impairments, including those with additional disabilities and deafblindness.

Access and Engagement II

The second study collected data from 662 family members, teachers of students with visual impairments, and O&M specialists to understand the challenges and successes in the patchwork of education occurring throughout the United States and Canada during the latter part of 2020.

Access and Engagement III

The third and final study included focus group data from families and educators in 2021 after most schools had re-opened in-person instruction.
