Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VABVI) is the only private agency to offer training, services, and support to visually impaired Vermonters. Our mission is to enable Vermonters who are blind or visually impaired, to be more independent, cultivate adaptive skills and improve their quality of life.

"I do not know what I would do without VABVI. They showed me new methods of preparing food, marking clothes and ways to identify food and other items. They also trained me on how to use a white cane. Their support groups are priceless. It gives me an opportunity to socialize and to learn from the rehab teachers and one another." - Shirley H.
